How do you like them ?
Can you describe the tone in both channels as opposed to the El34/6l6(5881) that come stock in them.
What (other amps) do they compare too?
Are JJ's the only 6V6's that will handle the 460V plate voltage ?
Do you need to change you speaker impedance setting to use them?

Thanks

I'll take a stab at this. I believe JJs are the only 6v6 that will survive. I put JJ 6v6s in my 2204 and found them to be basically a lower power version of 34s in that circuit. They powered the wattage down to 22 from 50 but had the same basic tone as 34s. At least to my ears. They didn't sound like 6l6s at all in that application. I did have to half the impedance because my 2204 wasn't really meant to run them but I suspect you wouldn't need to do that with the Renegade. I'm sure someone will chime in and correct if I'm wrong about that.

So, based on my admittedly limited experience, from a tonal perspective, I don't think you would gain much from running 6v6s over 34s. Of course, YMMV.

What about KT88's in place of one of the pairs?

KT88s are not on the list of tubes that can be used according to the manual. But it does include 6550s. Perhaps someone can chime in on this.

same thing (more or less)

I know, that's why I mentioned the 6550s. Just wondering why KT88s were left off the list. There may be a reason.

Update... wow at the 6550's.... tossed in a set of Svetlana 6550's. I'm tempted to put another pair over in the 6L6 side because the amp seems a little louder in the center of the tube blend.

We'll see..

the jet city is a badass amp. kinda like a poor man's soldano hotrod 100. Very good modern rock and classic rock tones, old school metal.. definitely has the same vibe as a boosted JCM800.

I've got several videos of it I've done.

JC100 clips are great, but I prefer your Titan demos

oh well.. you know.. it's a Pissed off SLO on steroids... doesn't get much awesomer than that.
