Getting ready to place an order tonight. If you're on the fence, let me know.
Must not have pickguard and must have a neck pickup

They'll do whatever you want. I got 1 with the straight 12 and love ittpruitt":1utsuyst said:I was just looking at these. Is 12deg the only radius they offer or will there do the standard charvel 12-16?
If yours had a Floyd and a neck pickup I'd probably have picked it upibzprestige":1cpnvsz2 said:You need a star!! Hahah
Actually getting a second one. I got this one a few weeks agoLPMojoGL":30xquc7v said:Getting a Chubtone, Scott? I almost went for that greenish one they’ve had around forever. #19.
Went for an American Pro Strat, instead, since I got a good deal and was able to play several and pick out one I liked.
This thing is awesome. Ash body sounds awesome and the floyd on this on is body mounted screws instead of bushing mounted screws. The neck is awesome, feels more natural than the neck on the Luxxtone. Pickups are super distortion and pafLPMojoGL":3m6peo2p said:Love that color. Pickups? Dig the Floyd, too. Lots going on with the wood of the neck. I like eveything about that.
How does it feel? Anything like the Satchel?

A few thoughts on the strat. I'm pretty sure that stock Fender potentiometer is 250k which I feel kills some of the top end in gain from a humbucker. Whatever you go with I would surely change the pot. Because the super distortion doesn't use slugs or screws but rather hex poles I don't think it's a very good humbucker for splitting. I think anything similar to a jb or a suhr Aldrich would suit a strat fine and still get some decent split tonesLPMojoGL":3flyrba6 said:scottosan":3flyrba6 said:This thing is awesome. Nice! I’m needing a better bridge hb for my strat, was kicking around the idea of SD since so many folks used them early on. Would love to check out your Chubtone when we meet up again.
