I am going to use the unit to play out. I am setting up a footswitch to Bypass the effects. But, when I bypass the audio is louder that when the effects are engaged...I was an equal level. I went to:

http://www.lexiconpro.com/knowledgebase.php?product=14

But it is a joke...i checked everything it said, but still the same shit. I remember doing this with my Gmajor and it was pretty easy, but this thing is kinda pissing me off! and it is too bad, cuz I like the sounds I am getting.

Hit the system button.. scroll over until you see audio bypass lvl. I have mine on off but you can scroll on this page to set the level.

I hope this helps.

That should do it.

The MPX1 is so much better than the gmajor but programming it is harder.

I'll give it a shot....Post back tomorrow...Thanks guys! I also have a Rocktron xpression, but it has no footswitch. Just midi.

I did this, but when i lower the audio bypass level the overall sound changes to just effect coming through with a latency. I have it set to 0db, which seems to give me all my base tone, but if I lower it, then the effects signal still passes? :aww: I am using delay only but the signal isn't as strong with it.

I kinda made a backup patch with a little less delay, which I think I am gonna use for my base tone as well, then if I solo, gonna just kick in the solo boost on my splawn...should be fine.

I had it cranked today and my god it was CRUSHINGLY HEAVY!

I guess you bought it used? Maybe the guy before you went heavy on the programming and has some crazy settings.

Check the MIX mode as it sort of works as a global.

If this is the case I would return it to ground zero and restore all the factory presets. Also check your input switch on the back, maybe it is set wrong,

Did that...I read the manual and it said to make sure it was in the -10 setting. That is what I have it on. I did buy it used, but there wasn't one user program on it...So unless he switched a global setting, I am not sure? As of now, I will try it how it is cuz I have a preset that I really enjoy, but if isn't working for that live setup, I will do a system reset.

If you get frustrated with it, and decide to sell, I'm your man.

I've got an MPXG2 (love it), and my company has an MPX1 in rental stock, but they don't want to get rid of it just yet.

Factory Initialize is always a goo idea with used gear--dont know what the previous owner fed into the system

Thanks guys...I really like the MPX1 tones for a digital unit. I love the sound of my Xpression in analog mode too(sounds more vintage) but like I said...cranked a Tape Echo custom preset yesterday at about 25% delay coming through at 240, it sounds huge, and heavy! I am jammin with some guys tonight, so I'll see how it pans out....but I'm not worried too much, cuz the other guitarist was using a B52. Not that that matters, just haven't played out in a live setting with my current gear.....hell, i haven't jammed out in about 2 years.

I know what you mean. Roland and Line 6 stuff does this too.
