As much as I loved and preferred Bon Scott era ACDC it's gonna be a sad day if Brian Johnson is indeed done touring for good. Brian and the band are on fire in this more recent clip imo!

I agree. Rumors are floating around that the band fired him and his hearing lose was not bad at all. That was just an excuse they used to fire him. If that is the cause he was treated like shit and I will lose much respect for AC/DC

Based on that clip, no way should he have been replaced! Stupid move on their part.

not sure what the truth is, but some of the boots I have listened to over the last year up to the St Louis show have varied performances, some in my view seem to side with Brian on the hearing side as he seems to be struggling with the timing and delivery. Just my opinion though. Also listened to some of the recent Axl stuff and I think many are giving him wa too much credit for his vocals and think they sound like ass. I guess we will find out 2 things soon, if the arena is full when AC/DC hits the stage and what Axl sounds like and behaves.

Curious if they will go on beyond this tour. Maybe they are just completing as a financial obligation as too much many and beneficiaries are waiting.

Soon we will likely see Eddie slobbering on Sammy's knob when he needs more cash. Oh... everybody is replaceable even if you do not like it. Although most do not like the AC/DC decision it was a business decision and their approach toward the fans. At least the did not release an embarrassing live album with atrocious vocals and sell it to the fans for cash.

I`m not in agreement of Brain being kicked to the curb if that`s indeed what happened but I bet everyone in the band has pretty bad hearing loss

The hearing loss is BS because he's been using in ear monitors for 25 years.

Brians voice is like Tiger Woods golf swing after a while they just self destruct.

The loss is from his race car hobby; at a recent event he neglected ear protection

Yeah i heard that the same time the hearing loss story came out.

First thing i said to myself in 1979' when i heard Back in Black was how long will this guys voice last ?

They're old fogies, Axl or not. Brian lost his voice a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

They still use the same props on stage from 20 years ago.

Rudd is a meth addict, Malcolm is out to pasture, maybe its time to do something else.

BTW i love those guys but its just getting ugly.

And for Gods sake what would Bon Scott say about Axl doing his stuff ???

I don't think he'd like it.

This is the AC/DC i grew up with, this will always be AC/DC to me.

I saw them live within the last year, Brian has sounded like his voice was shot since th first album he did with them. It is just his style and tone. That said he always screeched more or less in key. For the most part while the show was still excellent, he was very flat and he just can't get to the registrars he needs to get to anymore. Regardless though, everyone is slowing down. He is what, close to 70? His vocal style was never going to be kind to his vocal chords either. Personally, if they fired him to keep the money machine going, I have lost a lot of respect for Angus. At this stage, hang it up and go out with the guy that got you there.

It's better to burn out than fade away you fag.. Kisses.. :D

-AC~DC died when BON SCOTT died-

-there just a tribute band now-

That was 1980.. You mean to tell me everything thereafter was shit?? Hmm. Angus was 25 at the time. I guess he should have hug it up..

wow where has this thread come from

brian himself has released a statement saying that his doctors told him he needs to stop immediately and "rest" his hearing with the hope his ears will recover. He also stated that he was racing cars and didn't put in ear plugs by mistake recently and thats when the damaged happened.

The being kicked to the curb comment by a comedian friend of his...the comedian later apologised and said he was having a bit of fun

Axl is ONLY finishing the tour for them, then only time will tell what happens

When they were here a couple months ago the upper circle shitty seats [binocular land] were $300 a piece.

Its clear it wasn't about the fans.

If i pay $300 bucks for a ticket im going to be in the first 10 rows center stage.

Didn't sound like "he was having a bit of fun" in this article. Sounds like in one fell swoop he was let go, replaced, and his tour luggage thrown on his front door step without even talking to him. I saw Brian's statement.
If I am not mistaken, Angus owns all of the AC/DC rights. I would bet there are lots of clauses in Brian's contract, some of them having to do with publicly announcing anything negative about AC/DC, regardless if true or not. Maybe he doesn't want a legal fight and is just moving on with his life at 68.
Granted, this is the media so who knows...

That's crazy shit, wtf? Hope it's not true but would not be surprised.

-unless he's racing/driving F1 ,... he didn't harm his ears from racing....

-I drove race cars for 14 years and never wore any ear protection,... I've never even known/heard of anyone using ear protection...
