Attenuator with a Rebel or Renegade - Any impedance issues?

My band tries to keep the stage volume down when we perform and so my amp is typically set on the low watt setting with the volume in the 9:00-10:00 range. I'm thinking of getting an attenuator so that I can maintain the same volume, but turn the amp up so that its breathing a bit more. From what I've read, the Dr. Z Airbrake seems to be a good choice, however I want to make sure there aren't any impedance issues with using this as a load with either my Renegade or Rebel amps. The last thing I want to do is cook an output transformer. Any opinions?

I have been using a Weber Mini Mass 50w attenuater on my Rebel 20 for a while now for the same reason. Mine has an impedance switch which made it a little more useful for other amps I had. Just having it engaged in the circuit with the least amount of attenuation is enough to allow me to open the amp up at 20 watts so there is enough headroom to guitar volume down to clean tones. I use that setup with a 2x12 cab for small clubs and bars and it works like a charm for me.
