I run a Clarett8Pre, iMac27", Reaper, and a host of outboard kit.
Out of nowhere - my Focusrite Control GUI says "No Hardware Connected"
Seems with one of the latest Mac Updates, there's been an inconsistency with what were originally permissible files, drivers, loaders, (kext etc), to know the Mac having the drivers installed and seen at the system level - but the OS and its related platforms not seeing it as "loaded".
I've got a script I can type in each time my system reboots to get it to work (bandaid), and have noticed all manner of different interface users are experiencing similar things with Big Sur.
Anyone out there find the proper fix? I'm tempted to do a total software/firmware/driver ditch and re-install in hopes the new security protocols will just accept "all things Focusrite" upon fresh install; but a number of other users have said "nope, just goes back to saying disconnected".
MOTU, RME, Focusrite, Apollo, etc - all different brands - many facing the same issue.
If anyone out there has a terminal code fix or permissions re-write, I'm all for trying it (and yes, I've got an open ticket with Focusrite and this has now, along with X number of other users complaints, moved over to Apple to resolve...I'm just impatient).
Thanks!
