Never heard of that guy. He's a damn fine player, though. I really dig his style.
 
I listened to some of their stuff on i-tunes.....cool stuff. I might have to pick up Brother. The singer sounds a little like Billy Squier. sp?
 
I lived in Raleigh for 3 years (where Cry of Love is from) and I remember speaking with Audley shortly before they were signed. He was very, very skinny and I remember not hearing a single thing he said because the whole time I kept thinking to myself, "Jesus this guy needs to eat a steak."

Kick ass! I love Audley Freed. Those Cry of Love albums are still faves of mine. The guy's playing is super-tasty.
 
I saw these a few weeks ago. Audley is one of the baddest players to comes out of the 90s. He knows rock guitar playing inside and out.

Damn right. You don't get calls to play with the Black Crowes, Jimmy Page and Frampton when you're a hack. There's something about Freed's style that I really love. The guy doesn't flash. His playing sticks in your head. One of my faves is "Peace Pipe" from Cry of Love. Just a great tune.
