I ordered a USA custom shop Fender from Italy in the Summer. Customs charged me $450 in duty. Put I protested through Fedex (had to pay $90 for the paperwork) and the duty was waived. Make sure your shop abroad fills out the right paper work. You should NOT have to pay duty if the guitar originated in the USA. I had to have the shop fill out a form saying where the guitar originated and port it left from (can be a guess on that). Just wish they had filled that out ahead of time.

Also, it took about 5 months to resolve, but payment was never made just put on hold while I protested through Fedex.

Somebody tell the meat cutter that those tariffs are gonna protect American musical equipment manufacturers. I notice more recently I google a pedal that I might be considering and a bunch of shit chinese knockoffs pop up with it for about 1/8 the price. Before that it was chinese people selling my CD on ebay for what it cost me to produce it. Commies invent nothing, they steal shit from people who do. Dan you should move to china if you're so damn concerned.. Stick that in your tariff you dirty red
