Your right 100%. Here ya go.... the not so skinny!
Well I bought an early edition Bogner Uberschall from him. He had it listed on eBay as 100% original and mint when in fact the head shell was changed. No one made any offers or bought probably because the "Uber" guys recognized it. It actually was pointed out to me from another RT member. I pointed this out to him and he lowered the price so I purchased it outside of eBay.
-Amp arrives packed like shit.
-Amp was not 100% as the head shell was changed and the amp had rust, dings and dents. No where close to advertised.
-Clean channel LED lights don't work and there is a significant volume issue.
-Contacted him immediately and made a video of the above mentioned.
We went back and forth on what to do. Either send me money to fix it or return it. At the time I had another early Uber here to A/B it against. I told him that I would kick it around for a few and we would go from there. FROM THIS POINT ON I DID NOT PLAY OR TOUCH THE AMP. It sat in the corner of my studio as I decided what to do. Keep an early run Uber and have the issues fixed and live with the fact that it was not in the condition stated or return it.
-He wanted to purchase my early Uber that I had here, I said that if I decided to keep the amp that he sent me and have it fixed I would consider that.
After some days I contacted him to tell him that I simply wanted a return and would be sending him his amp back and keep mine as recommended by PayPal. Delay, delay, several phone calls and no response and then finally an email. I asked him for a return and he ask me to "send an invoice". I thought this very strange but at 12:30 am I figured it was ok and did so.
-Stupid, stupid me.
-I packed the amp like I always do. Lots of bubble wrap and extreme care. I even bought a new heavy duty box since his was fucking cheap thin ass junk. My box only opened at either end rather than in the middle like most amp boxes. It was a very stout box and the amp was packed nice and tight inside.
-He took delivery and signed for it at his home. He contacted me 4 hours later stating that the head shell is broke. I asked him to send me pics of the amp and the box. Box was fully intact and looked like it should. Upon receiving the pics I saw what he had done. He ripped open the box at on end and grabbed the amp by the end and tried to pull/shake it free from the box and in doing so pulled the head shell loose from the bottom edge splitting the glued seem exposing the mitered joints and the biscuits. (used to connect wood edges securely)
-Box showed NO signs of impact anywhere. (I worked for UPS for several years and knew what to look for on damage claims)
-Again the amp was packed very tight wrapped in bubble wrap and the packed with insulating foam. You could only have removed the amp if you cut open the entire box.
-He contacts PayPal and files a claim for the damaged head shell and the amp not working properly!!!!!!! The very reason that I returned it!!
-PayPal sided with him as it was treated like I sold him an amp that was broke. It went back and forth for a week. The took money from my account 3 times and returned it 3 times. I spent so many hours dealing with PayPal trying to convince them that it was a "damaged return" and not another transaction.
-PayPal finally admitted that they had dropped the ball and refunded both him and I the total amount. They where washing their hands and walking away.
-PayPal had admitted to me that he was already under investigation for other like cases.
-In the meantime he sent the damaged amp back to me and PayPal advised me to not accept it. I did so and it went and sat at the FedEx hub. FedEx then called me letting me know that if not taking then it would end up being trashed. I contacted Adamus telling him that they where gonna trash it and he said he didn't want it.
-I drove to the FedEx hub to retrieve the amp but surprise! Dip shit had called in the 20 minutes it took me to get there, paid for return shipping to himself and denied the whole fucking thing!
In the end I was refunded my money but lost out on it 3 times in a week. All because this fucking scammer knew how to play the damn game. After all he was under investigation for other cases that where like mine. After everything was said and done he had the nerve to contact me asking if I wanted to sell him my early Uber. Can you imagine that!
Avoid him at all costs my man. You have been warned!!
