Can't have my rig setup for a week or so until my studio's built so I've been thinking a lot about possible solutions for my Axe Fx and have come up with a couple of questions for you Axe users;

1) If I input into Input 1(Left/Mono), can I use the L and R outputs to feed the L and R channels of my Mesa 2:100? In other words, if I use the mono input, can I use stereo effects to output the L and R to each channel of my Recto 2:100?

2) If I split my signal into with a y-splitter into Input 1 and Input 2, how do I use stereo effects so that the L side of the effect comes from Output 1 to channel one of my power amp and the R side of the effect goes from Output 2 to the other channel of my power amp?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Answer to Question 1:
100% absolutely, mono input, dual stereo output, piece of cake.

Answer to Question 2:
Not sure what you're getting at here, as the Axe has all the effects you could possibly want resident to its firmware. You simply plug in, and if you want serious stereo effects with your output, just set it up for this. No problemo. You don't need a Y splitter, just a guitar IN and you're set from there.

Hope this helps.

Basically, I want to be able to do this

to have my Roadster as my main sound and switch between stereo effects and possibly simulations on other settings. Right now with this set-up, theoretically when my Roadster is switched on, the slaved signal will pass to each input of the axe for stereo effects and then sent to the 2:100.
When it is off, it bypasses my Roadster and I will then just use the Axe for simulations and effects and such(this scenario is mainly for the odd time I want to jam with some different sounds).
Right now I'm just a little confused as to how to have the effects drive the power amp in stereo as outlined above in question(2).
Any thoughts or ideas?

Very simple. The Axe has a tone of mixing options built in. For you:

Guitar in front input. A block (internal)loop to the Roadster. When you want the Roadster on you use this loop. When not you simply don't add it in the chain. There are 2 sets of inputs and outputs. The second set can be used for this loop.

Sounds like you want the 4-cable method. That's how I run my mark III with the axe-fx.

But he doesn't want the roadster used all the time from my understanding. Looked like he was slaving it.

Yup slaving it!

That's the part I was trying to figure out, so I just put the effects loop on the second output! Right on, I'll try it when I get my shit together thanks!
