So obviously I'm late to the party..well better late than sorry! Shit, listen to the musicianship og watch that stage show, they are blowing the competition away

Yeah you are about 4 years late on this one but hey i agree, musicianship is awesome! I also think they swap out the baby metal girls as they get too old... nothing like an underaged sexed up preteen in Japanese culture right?

No, the girls have always been the same.

They are releasing a new album soon. Just released a new video the other day.

Love Babymetal

I'm good friends with the ex-lead guitarist. He used to hang out over on sevenstring.org. They treat that band as a very strict business investment - band members don't speak to one another and quite a bit of problems with management on the back end.

I bought their album after the last thread. They sound a lot like Dragon Force and I believe they worked with them to write.

This is my favorite.

Hm..I didn't really get the sex (or pedo) side you are talking about. Nothing really strikes me as disturbing in the way they dance or dress, but I suppose others may think otherwise. I was thinking more about how they mix Japanese pop and metal, and how that felt fresh. Metlupass2 mentioned Dragon Force (a band I can't stand funny enough) but I think Babymetal is far more heavy than anything I've heard from them. Listen to Babymetal's latest release "Karate".

But as I said, what impressed me the most was that band. Sure seems strange that they wouldn't be on good terms with each other when you see them on stage. The band is just sick and they perform live like nothing I've really seen before. I note that they play with real amps, Engl (and what else ?) and they have a real cutting guitar sound both individually and together.

Keep on dancing around throwing up that baphomet, girls. Controlled robots.

Gimme Chocolate is my jam
I may have to get the new disc, the music is insane

To each their own but personally I would not choose to listen to that for any longer than 10 seconds....

That Karate song went #1 on Itunes Metal category around one week ago. I believe this song is still in the top 10 on Itunes. The band got crazy talents all around. The lead guitarist is a like an Yngwie clone(link below) and the bassist is as good or close to Billy Sheenan as you can get. The other guitarist is like an instructor at MI in Japan and a pretty good fusion guitar player as well. I'm not a big fan or anything like that. I'm just giving credit where credit is due.
