@espquade

Why did you bought them again? Some guys say the Splawns are THE SHIT. And some did sell their Diezel´s for them. How do you compare them? Especially with the Herbert? Is that a ProMod?

Well i would say between the Diezel's and the Splawn there is no real way to compare , as they are so different in terms of voicing , feel , tone ETC .

I guess that would depend on what sound you are going for , but to my ears and the way I have the amps set up I can get a really great convincing George Lynch ( Back for the Attack ) type of tone with the Splawn Quick Rod and alot of the 80's hard rock metal tones , but the Diezel Herbert covers alot more ground with a Prisine clean channel and ( one of the best I have heard ) a great rythym crunch channel , and a Killer lead channel that is beyond sick , and the mid cut takes every channel to a completely different level almost like having another amp altogether ! The Diezel is less organtic than the Splawn much more HI FI I guess you could say , but it's tone is addictive !!!

Don't get me wrong I love the Splawn , but it is SO VERY DIFFERENT that a Herbert ! I can't imagine getting rid of the Herbert in favor of the Splawn , but they cover very different ground, but that's just my 2 cents for ya. :)

:clap: :clap: :clap: You are correct ! I guess you are familiar with Van den Hul's ?

They sound Killer with the Diezel's ...Although , I"m not sure I'd let them far from my site if I did take them to a gig , as I'm sure you are aware they are somewhat pricey , but certainly worth it. Luckily I am not playing out at the moment , so they are stictly used in my studio

I am looking at getting a set of Vovox cables sometime soon to compare , as I was told they were right up there with the Van Den hul's
