Hey,

So back in the 90's I owned a TOL100 head that was made in MI. It was cool because it sounded great and was covered in burgundy tolex. Unfortunately I had no use for 100 watts so I foolishly sold it. Fast forward to 2011 and I'm playing in a church group that does not allow stage volume. What to do? I do not like the amp modelers because they just don't sound good to me. So I did a search for amps w/XLR jacks and came upon the Rebel 30.

I was skeptical because the amp is not made in the good ole' USA but I traded towards one anyway. After owning it for a week I'm glad to report that the Rebel 30 is a really nice sounding amp. I've played with the tubes and swapped the stock ones out for US made tubes (RCA's). I also put a 5751 in V1 and man the amp really sings now.

So back to the reason I picked up the amp - XLR out. I've read a couple of threads where folks have had issues w/their XLR jack due to a missing resistor. My question is - is there a way to correlate the issue to a group of serial numbers? I've not yet used the XLR feature on stage but I want to address any issues before I do.

TIA for any info/insight.
