Hello,
As far as I know, I have a dysfuncional hum trimmer in my VH4. I had a powerful power tube short (KT88), which I believe caused this.
It seems that there is sort of a contact problem in the trimmer when you adjust it. This happens only in the more or less middle position of the trimmer where according to my knowledge and experience the hum should be gone. Also, if I tap the trimmer (on Ch3 or 4) it produces loud cracking sound, kind of like a sound similar to grounding problems. Or may there be something else, which causes this?
Where can I get a new one to replace the current trimmer? Is there an European online dealer from whom I may order suitable trimmers (I might get few for spare as well)? I would be interested in the very same layout as that the current has, because the ones I found on the local stores looked more or less incompatible.
I know that the trimmer's values should be 100Ohm / 0.5 W, but who is the manufacturer of such trimmers that are used in the Diezels?
Thank You.
