This is from our last band rehearsal, Talk Box comes in around 0:52. Setting up a talk box sound with this is a breeze. True Bypass and all included, just guitar in and the rest is taken care of by this box. Made my pedalboard a tad heavy but the sound is worth it I'd say:

By the way, the clean/funk tone is an Epiphone Les Paul with Bare Knuckle Pickups through a Bogner Shiva.

Recording was done with internal mics of my Tascam DR1 portable recorder thingy.

not bad. I have the Heil....what type of distortion/overdrive does that include to get that sound?

this is just guitar into Banshee into SM58 into PA

The banshee has both, pre and power amps as well as an EV driver

Sounds cool. I've always wanted to try a talk box, but never have.

I like the heil, I power it with my Fender Cyber Twin Head, which I can get pretty much any type of preamp to go into it, and its lighter than a real tube head

I was curious what the rocktron's preamp is made to sound like, cause I liked that tone, and its very different than the tone I get out of my Heil. I still like my Heil, but sometimes it just doesnt seem raspy enough compared to other talkbox tones I have heard...so I'm thinking its the preamp signal I'm sending in there...

I like the Banshee. It's easy and self-contained with its built-in preamp and variable gain control. you can even plug the Banshee into a speaker cabinet and use it as a backstage practice amp. It has an amplifier "out" jack.

Plus you never have to worry about blowing an output tranny with the Banshee, unlike other talk boxes that use the output of an amp. With those, if the driver blows then you have no load on your output transformer.
