Does the Egnator Bassman module respond like a Bassman with the low end control. ie. does it get really swampy and distorted in the lows when it's set high on a gainier preamp setting. I really like the way bassmans can do this for fingerstyle blues but played a Randall Module that only got less to more bass but no change in the distortion characteristics.

I find my bassman module (egnater) is very touch sensitive and dynamic and does indeed get that classic "swampy grind" low end sound when the gain is turned up. A lot depends on what power tubes you have in the amp - but I actually think my B'MAN module running in my MOD100 head (2 El 34's & 2 JJ6v6's) sounds a bit better and more musical than an actual Fender bassman amp. Primarily because the Fender bassman is a one trick pony. I mean it is a hell of a sound - and it is a great amp to run OD pedals in front of - but the module has lots of character on its own that go above and beyond the original design - and you probably will not want pedals with it. With all the knobs at 12 O'clock - standard Bassman.
