So I've been trying to overcome a hum/buzz problem for some time now. I found that it is something in my house that is causing the issue, not my VH4.
I recently played in another building and the VH4 was dead quiet, even without using my ProRackG!
So is there anything I can do at home to reduce the noise? I've tried the following:
1. Power conditioner (Furman PL-8 Series II). This helps, but the noise is still there.
2. Moving the amp and using other outlets in the same house. I get the same noise on all outlets in the house.
3. Hum reducing isolation transformer that attaches to the audio line. It has almost no effect.
The hum exists when I use any power outlet in the house, and doesn't change with location. This makes me think the noise is on the power line itself, not being radiated. Is it worth looking into something other than the Furman PL-8 II? It is supposed to have power line filters on it though. Any other thoughts?
