Recently, I decided to stop using cabs altogether. There's better ways to get an awesome tone to the FOH and reduce all the stage volume. That was with a Two Notes Torpedo Live and active monitors. With the TNTL, you get some onboard EQ processing to help tailor the signal. I also wanted to try out an ISO cab for the same reasons. First impressions were there needed to be some EQ processing for FOH. Instead of leaving this task to a soundman, I decided to try a few things on the D-Moll to juice the post EQ a bit. I dug out an old BBE Sonic Stomp which was still in the box and new from about 5 or 6 years ago. I stuck it in the parallel loop along with a delay and Ho Lee Shit Balls - talk about awakening an amp and taking the D-Moll to a whole new level. This is just what it needed for this single speaker ISO set up. Basically, the pedal added 3 new channels to the amp.

If you have one laying around, give it a shot. If not, find you a used one on the cheap or buy new for a hundred bucks. If you are after a thick, metal tone and want to add some more dimension and clarity, this is for you. I was immediately sold on this set up.

Will grab some comparison clips in a day or two.

Can't wait for the clips !

So the BBE is only effective on the delay's repetitions because of the kill dry, right ?
