Hey, guys -

A few years back I bought a 2000 custom shop BC Rich Mockingbird. Guitar played really well, awesome sound with Varitone, sustain - but it saw a lot of play over the years, and frets were worn out, with some buzzing. Now, it's buzzing across most of the fret board.

I consider re-fretting (with a professional luthier), but afraid it'll kill the tone. Anyone here have experience re-fretting Mockingbirds? Anything I should be mindful about (types of fret materials, etc)?

Also, it gets out of tune easily (especially on G and B strings) - so want to replace the tuners. I have Grovers (images below) -- assume these are Grover Rotomatic.

Are these the right tuners to get? https://reverb.com/item/2044952-tuning- ... ide-chrome

Thanks!
