best 2x12 cab for Schmidt

Hi diezel guys!
I am looking for a good 2x12 cab for the Schmidt.
Now i am using a 4x12 Marshall with Greenbacks and also a 4x12 VC A25 Hughes & Kettner with Greenbacks
which are good sounding.
I want a small and light cab which is musical and not sterile with a balanced sound. I am playing Rock and Hardrock.
I think of custom audio or Tube Town Rex or bogner. I have heard of the Diezel 2x12 with hempcones but
in You Tube I have seen a comparison of some speakers with a riviera amp and the hemcones sound to me
that they have a lack of brilliance. I think the Greenbacks or the GH30 are the right speakers for me.

What do you think about it?

Ich habe mit dem Schmidt eine Tubetown-Box genutzt aus der Brit/American-Serie mit open Back. Dieses Cab ist relativ klein:

im Vergleich zur Diezel 2x12er:

Bestückt war das Tubetown-Cab mit nem G12H30 (Anniversary) und nem Standard Greenback:

Eigentlich eine feine Box die sehr ausgewogen und rund klang. Dachte ich zumindest bis ich die Hempcone-Diezel getestet habe...
Jene klingt wesentlich voller und runder und hat viel mehr Glanz und Präsenzen - ohne grätzig zu sein. Die Greenback/G12H-Kombi klingt regelrecht dunkel und boxig, was eventuell auch daran lag, daß die Speaker seriell verdrahtet waren (was bei der Hempcone aber auch so ist...)

Ich hab das Hempcone-Cab bei Peter Stapfer in der Werkstatt ausführlich getestet und mit der V30 2x12er und eben meiner Tubetown-Box verglichen. Alleine die Gehäusegröße der Diezel-Boxen lässt den Amp viel offener klingen.

Neben der Diezel 2x12er nutze ich eine alte Vintage-Amp/Rath 2x12er mit 2 V30 frontmontiert. Die Größe entspricht in etwa der Hemcone-Box und die V30 klingen darin sehr sensationell mit dem Schmidt.

Ich kann euch anbieten, zumindest diese beiden mal bei guter Lautstärke zu testen wenn ihr wollt.
Ansonsten würde ich an eurer Stelle Peter Stapfer kontaktieren und die Boxen mal zu testen.
Meine 1. Wahl ist auf alle Fälle die Hemcone, dann eine 2x12er mit V30 (eventuell auch open back ein versuch wert...) - Rearloaded oder Frontloaded ist beides gut.
Die TT-Rex mit größerem Gehäuse ist mit Sicherheit sinnvoller als das etwas unterdimensionierte Brit/american-Cab.

Das Gewicht der Diezel-Boxen ist übrigens überraschend angenehm - die trag ich ob der Größe problemlos in den Kofferraum ohne mir nen Bandscheibenvorfall zu holen.

Achja, der Hempcone klingt gräßlich in dem Speakervergleich von Rivera - was aber auch dem gräßlichen Rivera-Sound liegt
Ich finde den Speakervergleich für die Tonne (und ich hab ihn mir angehört, bevor ich die Box getestet habe...)

Dann sollte ich doch einmal die Diezel hempcone testen aber sorry Augsburg ist von Rheinhessen definitiv zu weit.

Ich glaube der Musik Schmidt in Ffm hat eine Box vorrätig mal sehen.

I took Peter's recomendation and got a new Diezel 2x12 with TT hemp ceramic 12's in it for my Schmidt.
Olaf, as well, told me that the Schmidt sounded the best using this cab with the speakers recomended.

I love the sound I am getting with my Schmidt and 2x12. While I'm sure other cabs and speaker combinations work well for other players, since I did not design, and build the amp, but Peter did, I would like to bet he tested the Schmidt out with various cab and speaker combinations in order to come up with what he thought was the best possible combination for what he heard.

I am not about to put my dead ears up against Peter's hearing apparatus, or Olaf's for that matter. If they say that a given speaker and cab is the right choice, in their opinion, then they are saving me time and money in experimenting with different cabs and speakers to come to my own conclusion.

It may not be the conclusion others might come too, but it is certainly good enough for me.
