Best 6550s in a Herbert?

I have one coming this week and have heard (4) EL-34s and (2) 6550s sound amazing in the Herbert. Currently, it has (6) EL-34s.

I've been looking up prices for a duet of 6550s and they're actually very reasonable (I thought they'd be a lot more).

What brands would you guys recommend? Or more specifically... what brands would you NOT recommend?

I use SED "C" 6550s and run exactly this combination (2 x 6550s and 4 x el34).
I had all 6550s before, but was missing mids :-(
This combination has the mids of the EL34s but a tad more clarity and punch from the 6550s - awesome

Either all SED Winged C 6550s or 4 of them w pair of EL34s is killer.

I would say Ruby across the board--4 x EL34 BSTR and 2 x KT88--MONSTER TONE!!!
