I have played just about every pick up out there, i used to have many guitars. For me, thye best bridge humbucker I have ever played ois the Duncan Super V. Super thick, articulate, you hear every note ring out clearly in chords, amazingly punchy! It is a Lynch sig pup, a tech in San Fran told me the Super V had been lying around Duncan for years, that when JB chose his final choice for the JB, it came down to the Super V and the JB, and he chose the JB. I much prefer the Super V to the JB, it is much thicker and beefier sounding, and super punchy. Try one out if you have the chance. I have had Bare Knuckles, Dimarzios, WCR, Wolftone, etc. and the Super V outshined all the rest.

Also, every person to whom I have suggested try the Super V loves them and starts using them regardless of the pick up they have in. I have sold guitars to guys who usually play EMg's who send me messages saying they have switched to passive humbuckers, the Super V does a lot quite well! its super percussive, super punchy, very good stuff!

I will have to check out the Super V. What guitars have you tried the Super V in? Have you tried running is split, is so how well does it do? Can you actually buy the Super V pickup separate, I found one site and they are near $700 per pickup?

dude, they are not 700 a pickup, go to seymour duncans website, they are around 100 maybe 120??? i have had them in les pauls, charvels custom shops, an esp lynch maple body(sounded super fat in a maple body!) they worked amazing in any guitar i put them in, lcharvels in alder or basswood, sounded amazing, les pauls, sounded warm, thick, yet fat and punchy, every guitar i put one in was great! when you go to duncans website, dont go to humbuckers, i think it is custom shop or signature pickups, it is in same area as the demartini pickup and scott ian pickup. usually i dont like high output pups, this is like a 15 or 17k, but feels like it 9is much less, try one you wont regret it.

Anderson H2 or H3.

Or.....Bareknuckle anything (Painkiller, War Pig).

I didn't think they were $700, I assume that was for a guitar. Still I can't find the Super V pickups for sale either at SD or their dealers. I didn't look that hard, honestly, but it should be easy to check the price. Where did you buy yours?

go to duncan website, select pick ups, select custom shop, then select artist signature. its the first one listed. they are even cheaper if you dont get the silver cover with the engraved V in it. i call duncan, and have them send it to gary brawer in san francisco, have him do it, i am a retard with a soldering iron, gary brawer is a top notch tech and charges little to change out pups. his set ups are amazing also, real cool dude.

So you have to call them to order. That stinks, but good to know. https://www.seymourduncan.com/products/c ... _lynch_su/

Suhr Aldridge sounds great, Dimarzio Norton is quite versatile...
