I ordered a V412F for my Herbert. Is this the best cab for it? I have two Mesa 4x12s but a lot of forum comments have convinced me to go with the real deal Diezel.

Diezel cabs are sure great, but I wouldn't jump on selling the Mesa if you are able to hold on to it financially. There was something really cool in Herbert->Mesa Traditional 4x12 combo. Sometimes I with I still had that cabinet.

I also wonder too because right now iam using a mesa 4x12 cab
ans i wonder what i would like better front or rear loaded

I don't miss my 412 traditional/stiletto yet. While I will admit, it did have a nice grind to it with the Herbert, it had no low end at all compared to my other cabs. The only way I was happy with the traditional was when I ran it with my 2x12 oversized. The 2x12 added that thump I wanted (and pretty much nothing else) and the traditional gave me the grit everywhere else. Either of them were lacking something on their own, though. My 412 Road King cab is much better, IMO, but it has a buzz to it I don't like. The closed side reminds me too much of the traditional. No low end depth to it and the open side needed something better than C90s. Speaker swapping helped it out, but still not all the way there with it. Maybe it's just me, but I'm really looking forward to something other than a Mesa cab with my Herbert. I've got a cheapo lopoline cab that's decent, but it's not quite there either.

I love all of the Orange cabs. They are great, and not that expensive comparatively.

Actually my Traditional 4x12 had a huge low end, more than say Bogner 4x12s do. However it had scooped low mids & kind of harsh hi-end. That scooped low mids thing makes it feel like it doesn't have that much bass.
Regardless, that "grind" that you mentioned is exactly why I wish I still had it sometimes.

If you play mainly metal, I suggest a fl V30 cab. - obviously the new Diezel cabs is what I'm talking about here. If you gig I'd suggest a fl V30/G12K mixed cab, if rock and mellower stuff is your thing go with a rl G12K cab. Imo. ;)
