So guys, I know a bunch of you have them. What are your preferred cabs to use with them? I currently have a GFlex 2x12, but it always seems like I have a love/hate relationship with it. I play mostly rock and metal with the band I'm in right now, anything ranging from Judas Priest to Metallica/Pantera. Any suggestions? I probably want to spend between $400 and $700.

I had the exact same setup for over 2 years. Mark IV--->G-flex. Sometimes I would crank it up and thought I sounded great---other times, not so much. I ordered an Avatar Vintage 4X12 with all V30's in June and it sounds killer with the Mark IV. I think it sounds better than the Mesa 4X12s I've tried as it isn't quite as dark sounding to me. Anyways, thats my two cents. If you can find an old Mesa halfback, I'm sure that would be killer too.

I use the Rectifier 4x12 with mine and it sounds really great. I'm curious to try it with the Mesa 2x12 with V30s as I'm looking at getting a smaller cab for Uni.

I know Gibson5413 (I'm sure that's the order of the numbers in his name  ) runs his with a Bogner 2x12 and it sounds killer.

Depends on what you are looking for!! If you want all out brutal Metal then Dave has got the Right suggestion with the EV's!!

If you want a more Modern sound then definitely a Boogie cab w/ V30's!!!

The MC90's in a HB cab gives you more of a Musky type tone (hard to describe!!)

Musky and boaty! :D Were you a fisherman in a past life?

I don't know what is best, but the UberKab Bob sold me sounds great w/mine...

I would go with a used mesa halfback cab or Used Mesa roadking cab....

Just stay away from G12t-75 speakers with a mark IV.

MC90's
EV EVM 12L's
Vintage 30's
Classic Lead 80's

all work really well, no order to that list BTW....

I use a Mesa Recto 2x12 with mine and it sounds tight as hell man, they can be had for around $300 to $400

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The one thing I've noticed is that its hard to find one of the halfback cabs, so I guess they are pretty rare (or so good no one wants to get rid of them). I'll have to keep my eyes open for one. I think I might go that route first, then start trying the other cabs.
