Great Demo

Man I'm dying to order one but I'd need to seel my VH4 first, or trade it with a schmidt user that agrees to trade. :(

Hi!

I don´t think that a schmidt user whould like to trade....but I have a VH4 and Herbert too! ;)

You have to order one - it´s a really great amp!!!

BTW: Great demo!!!

Thanks, didn't know this video. I'm this close to ordering. ;)
I assume the heavy parts are played without boost?

I'm pretty sure that the amp is unboosted in the video but I can spot a TS-like pedal on the floor.

Yes, I can see it too.
Is that actually a Fatbottom cab? I hadn't pictured a frontloaded cab as ideal for an amp such as the Schmidt but apparently it works.

Which is the most recent design version of the Schmidt, by the way? In this video the logo is small and black but in the middle.

yup, that is a fatbottom cab. I use the same 2x12 with the einstein and it sounds great, incredible bottom end. nice demo btw.

Makes me wonder if I should have gotten the Diezel 2x12 FL instead of RL. Not that there's anything wrong with the latter - it's a fantastic cab! But I've been reading about how great FLs are too often in order for my G.A.S. not to notice.

I think the most recent version is the blackface with the off-centre square Diezel logo. It looks the best in my opinion.

VHT cabs are great. I haven't found a high gain amp that they don't suit in one way or another.

Those guys reviewed the amp, by the way. I had to use Google Translate to understand it, but apparently they love it.

It's almost uncanny how many people fall in love with this amp. ;) My decision to get one still stands. It's only a matter of time now, and I'm hoping that the Schmidt will be ready to move in sometime in autumn. :)

That man can really play well!
His audition of the Schmidt was wonderful.
What an amp...WHAT AN AMP!

der Schmidt in this video isn't boosed ;)

Sergey? :D
nope, just fred :D

Sergey is our friend (we're tubetone.ru) who we asked to play some stuff to shoot the vid. We got this amp for our client in Siberia.

Damn it!!

I've spent the last half a year successfully avoiding anything to do with the Schmidt for obvious reasons (GAS)...

This was an AWESOME demo of what it can do - GREAT player might I add as well - awesome run through!! Thanks for the vid and thanks for making me write another cheque for yet another amp

LOL, don't worry, you're going to love it. Keep in mind that the cab in this vid ain't miced up. This is just audio from camera.

Yes I did...

I really DID know it was JUST a matter of time. The Schmidt to me has always been that unique, boutique, eclectic amp that's chock full of lush and beautiful tones - a perfect meld of vintage boutique and German precision engineering...

It'll have to wait till I come back from my surf trip, but then I've also got a brand new Mak 4 and Fryette 2/90/2 and Mills cab coming - hell, may as well start 2011 with a bang

Thanks again for the sublime clip!! LOVED the semi-hollow git work on this vid
