Just wondering the timeline.

I know they are gone now, on the back of the amp, but what was the time line is for when they were back there (on the VH4 and the Herbert) and when they were no longer there (i'm assuming 2009)?

I've seen some 2005 amps come up lately and none of them have it, so just was wondering.

From what i know no Diezel head have ever had external bias point in the rear.
The bias point in the Einstein and Herbert head was on the amp chassis near the power tubes.
I don't know exacty whan they started but for sure they ended in 2010.
No VH4 version present and past has bias point.
;)

i thought the VH4 had that...

so how do you bias a vh4 then?
you have to pull the whole amp each time?

The VH-4's have never had external bias adjustment points... you have to pull the chassis from the headshell, and prop the chassis upside-down to gain access to the bottom of the power transformer and the bias trimmers...
