I'm getting ready to purchase one of the Eurotubes Pro One bias probe meters. Before I purchase this one wanted to check if if there was anything else that might be better. Maybe something that can read plate current and voltage like the Pro One, but can do 2 tubes at once.

The only issue with that probe is when trying to use it with sockets that have those two side clips on them. The probe wire gets pinched.

I'm curious about this one. It says it measures the actual current ( so meaning, not the voltage with 1 ohm resistor?). Looks like they just raised the price.

Yes, I just picked one of those up for a buddy of mine and I compared it to my more expensive other units and it matches the exact readings, great unit for the price! I think it was $79 or $89 when I got his for him…?
But, no, it does not measure plate voltage…

I've a TAD Biasmaster.

Honestly, things got quicker, easier and more stable when I just jumpered one of the probes to my Multimeter with croc clips and set the meter to mV.

The biasmaster seemed to run away on the readings.

So from that experience I'd say get a decent single probe with an internal 1 ohm/1% resistor and a decent multimeter.

I have a single probe now from Weber for these reasons.
The first single probe I had was from Eurotubes and did not last long - could have been my fault though.
I removed all of those fucking wing clips from my amp. PITA

Who's brilliant idea for the wing clips was that? I get that they're supposed to help hold the tube in place, but all they do is get in the way and make it a hassle to change tubes. Most amps I've seen with them, they've been bent so far out they're not holding onto anything anyway.

Yeah, first time I went to bias my amp I was like WTH. I called Scott Splawn and asked about removing all of this extra crap because it was just getting in the way. I had the spring holders too. I think all of that was left over from Combos TBH as I can't imagine they are all that helpful in a head (unless you gig a lot with roadies/shipping/etc).

Oh yea
