The manual says to turn all knobs down when biasing. Does this apply to knobs on preamp modules as well? Can I just turn down the power section?

Can I turn the amp on to bias with no modules in it? Just trying to avoid re-dialing in my modules every time I bias.

I have never turned all the knobs down when biasing, only the master on the power section, and I've swapped out some tubes :D What''s up Matt????

You guys really are cowboys! :codeak:

Thanks. Loading in some new Tung-Sols for a recording session tomorrow night.

You really do need to turn the master down to zero. Cause noise effects the bias reading.

I'm glad someone asked that question.
I've always turned only the master down to zero, didn't want to mess up all my settings with all the preamp modules.
Took too long to dial them in. :D

I usually pull the modules out and set them on the side ... bias and re-insert. MV on zero.

Sounds like the way to go.

I don't bother with pulling out modules or messing with those knobs, just all master controls to zero, power off, rebias, back on and ready to go.
