Hey all,
I just scored a brand new Taylor 414ce from Musician's Friend for $1,377.59 - no tax or shipping (normally $1,899) and just wanted to pass on some info for anyone that might have been in the market for a Taylor. As some of you might have saw, I posted in the "BLACK FRIDAY" thread about Best Buy (out of all places), having a Thanksgiving Weekend Sale (Thursday-Saturday), where they have Taylor acoustics for 25% off. Well, they evidently sold out of them in the A.M. this morning sometime, but they still list them on their site as if they are available (instead of saying sold out, it's "add to cart" button is lit up). So, I called MF to see if they'd match the price....first attempt, they wouldn't budge....called again and not only did they match the price, but they beat it! Didn't even have to lean on them, he got it verified through a supervisor and that was it.
If you view http://www.bestbuy.com ...you'll see that you can use this tactic for the same type of discount on other Taylor guitars on Best Buy's website besides the 414ce...such as the 314ce, 814ce, 716ce, DN3, 110 as well as others to get 25+% off the normal selling price for Taylors. Just thought I'd mention this, as I hardly ever see Taylors on sale.
