Just wondering if someone can clear up my confusion over the Renegade amps.
My local store had (until recently) a black Renegade head. But I've just seen a NAMM 2012 video talking about the HG (high gain) series of Renegade in Black.
Is there a normal, black version of the Renegade AND a High Gain version in black ? - or is there only one verison of the Black Renegade ?

Also, are there any new 2x12 Cabs (preferably black) due soon ? As I'd prefer to pair one of these with my new Renegade head.

think of it this way....Egnater now comes in two colors....BLACK and the normal one.

the high gain series is called HG

so you need to search for a Renegade HG

But is the black=high gain or is the high gain a 3rd type?
I think I'd actually prefer a 'standard' renegade (not high gain), but I'd like it in black

my bad bro, here on this video Bruce explains it pretty clear. the black version have more gain only on the overdrive channel.

You probably saw the vengance in the store. The HG is not out yet.

My local shop in the UK had one (http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/electric_ ... 0714513139). It's out of stock now though. So - was this a renegade HG or a normal renegade but in black.
And the Namm video hints at new black cabs (I'm after a 2x12)
It seems that their website is out of date - the downloadable catalog is from 2010!

We did do a "back in black" campaign a while ago, but only in Europe. I believe that may have been a one time promotional thing....but I'm not sure. I'll find out for you. The HG versions have not shipped yet so you won't see them anywhere for a another couple of months.

How much more Gain is added Bruce . like if we compare to modular the Renegade is kind like the SL2 .
Would this be more like and EG5 type of OD now??

It would be good to know if this first 'back in black' line are coming back in stock ?
They were also cheaper here in the UK.
Otherwise I'll have to wait for the HG series and re-test them all.
Any info on new cab range ? I'm looking for a 2x12 but the Tourmaster is just too heavy. Tweaker 2x12 is great size but thats why I need a black head - for it to match on colors!

My big question is: are they going to offer the HG series in the same tan/black/salt-pepper grill cloth like the original Tourmaster/Renegade/etc?
I have a tan/black TM212 that sounded incredible with my M4 setup and would like a TM-HG head to match! :)

As far as I am aware, the Back In Black campaign will not be coming back, as everyone will have the HG lines available now. The HG series will only be available in black. We are not discontinuing the original amps though, so you will be able to get either the classic cosmetics, or the new cosmetics with the higher gain tones.

So how long do you think it will be before someone designs a blue LED mod for the HG amps?

Nice! Doesn't look likethey have the built in decimator though. I was looking for that.

No official release date, but they will be out late spring time. They are actually starting on production right now.

Ian, do you think that the HG line will retail the same as the regular line?

Based on the Canadian price I see it looks like the HG is about $75 more

Hi. Now I'm confused - I've just seen this image of a Renegade on a private sale. Is it a standard Renegade in black, or an HG version that's escaped from the factory ahead of schedule (a prototype or pre-production run perhaps??), the seller says he's only had it for 4 weeks????
