Two Notes is proud to announce the launch of its software program for creating and mixing Impulse Responses (IR): the Torpedo BlendIR!

Mix up to 8 IRs together and create your own IR, for your own tone;

capture the sound of your own setup;

and embed the IR thus obtained into your Torpedo hardware or software.

BlendIR 0.9.2 is free to download.

This is a Beta version. Should you encounter any bugs or glitches, please report them to our support tech team.

Go to the page for more information.

Merci to all (great new features indeed!), will try this one out ASAP!

Merci...

The capture feature within Blend IR is really, really cool. Something happened at first that weirded it out, but after I restarted it, it performed great for many captures.

I didn't get to try the target portion of the new release, but am pleased to see it implemented.

The source/target system is quite usefull I think as soon as you plan on matching the sound of a record you like.

This is not really the way I work, but the success of some recent replication machines&plugins leads us to start working in this direction. ;)

Doesn't work at Windows XP 32 bit... :(

Hello H.P.

There was a issue with Windows XP compatibility that we fixed.
We just updated the installer so if you download it again it should work on XP now.

Hi there,

today i discovered the BlendIR software.
What a great addition to an already unbelivable tool, the VB-101.
I played around with it for an hour or so and at first i used some GuitarHack impulse responses and alread got great results :)

One thing I didn't completely understand:
What is "Target" for? Someone wrote about tone matching?
So what is this all about? How do I use this?

One more Question:
Is it possible, to use one of my inputs of my soundcard as Source?
So it would be possible to feed the unprocessed signal from my VB-101 to BlendIR to hear the impulses while I'm playing some riffs coming out of my Ditto Looper.

Cheers
Matthias

The target is the sound you want to match. When you play a song located in "Target", the Torpedo process is bypassed so you can compare your actual IR with what you would like to have.

Well, it is not possible to do it right now, but we are thinking about it. ;)

Hello, i have a question, does BlendIR take live input signal from the guitar?

thanks.

Hello Nicolas,

BlendIR only works with sound samples you put on a playlist, live playing is not supported.

We do have a plugin and hardware products for live playing. ;) Maybe we will try tin include the Quick Preview function in BlendIR so you can use the new IR into the Torpedo Live/C.A.B., but there is still a lot of work to do.

BlendIR is easy enough to use, but are there any demos of someone tweaking some IRs or matching a sound clip?
