Just wondering if anyone knows if the clipping symmetrical or asymmetrical. It uses FETs instead of op amps so maybe that makes a difference?

Anyone used this as a clean boost? If so would you call it transparent?

Not sure if its great for clean boost. I run mine variac off, plexi, n, 100b with all three eq knobs maxed and the volume and gain both at about 2 o'clock, set the boost function as a volume boost, no extra gain and run into my ecstasy classic and I love it. I've played with it in all sorts of ways so far and I find that with either the volume or gain maxed and all three eq knob set equal the pedal sounds thin, cuts low end from my amp. If I roll the vol/gain back a bit it is better. I personally dig the fact that with my ecstasy classic I can run the blue channel on blue and use the pedal set for plexi tones on clean channel and as good gain boost on the other. I havent found a "clean" boost setting I like, this thing needs to add grit to your tone. really adds a bit of saturation to the classic very cantrell-ish.

For clean boosting I actually prefer an EQ pedal and use the volume to boost. The EQD tone job works great for this.
