Anybody ever gig with one of these? Tough to find in the used market, but I am in the low wattage club now. No more Shivas or XTCs for me. I worry about the clean headroom available with only 15 watts.
Have heard great things about the duende. I’d also check out the atma or xtc 3534?Anybody ever gig with one of these? Tough to find in the used market, but I am in the low wattage club now. No more Shivas or XTCs for me. I worry about the clean headroom available with only 15 watts.
Duende 6V6 version doesn't have the headroom of the 6L6 version....its a little for finicky to get it set right too for some reason. Having owned all the amps mentioned here I would get another Atma before an OG 3534, but a 50 watt 3545 would be interesting. In the low wattage realm I would for sure look into the many offerings from 3rd Power.I have a Duende with 6l6 and it’s perfect. The clean channel is pretty much a deluxe reverb. However I’m not 100% sure the 6v6 version will have the clean headroom. But the 3435 definitely does. The clean channel is huge sounding on that amp.
I have not owned an Atma. I remember you liking that amp. I’ve been meaning to try one. Which of course means buy one.Duende 6V6 version doesn't have the headroom of the 6L6 version....its a little for finicky to get it set right too for some reason. Thought about the Super Sonic 22, definitely a possibility … I need a two channel amp. I don’t get along well with dirt pedals.Nothing against Bogner (I have a Helios Eclipse, rapidly becoming my go-to Marshall), but for clean headroom, why not Fender / Fender clone?
Thanks, good to know. I always want reverb, but never miss it when the amp doesn’t have it.I A/B'd a Duende 15w head (I was thinking about buying) with my Friedman Runt 20 head this summer. Kept the Runt...clean channel was a little louder, lead channel was smoother, effects loop was quieter. The Duende's onboard tremolo & reverb was cool, but I didn't need that stuff.
