Bogner Ecstasy 101b - solo boost?

I just picked a 2006 XTC 101b. The amp is really a killer amp. Curious what everyone is using for a solo boost "live". The boost on the amp doesn't seem to add that much "volume boost" (although I do love the tonal variations with the boost engaged!). Unlike my 20th Shiva, which has an adjustable boost, I'm thinking I might need something in the loop? Options?

I have an MXR Micro Amp I might try in the loop. Anything else?

As a total clean boost in the loop I use CAE/MXR Boost/Line Driver (http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/mc401-boostline-driver). Not only it adds volume (without adding gain or colourizing the sound) but it also levels the effects signal sent to "Return. The loop in XTC can be tricky, especially when using pedals, so that unit helps very much, also if You use quite long cables (I use 9m ones).

Great piece of gear. And it has cool blue diode which corresponds great with Blue Channel diodes .
