The amp is harder to dial in than the 101b, somewhat like the original 100b, but it does reward the effort.

I was really digging this tone yesterday with my old Strat - a bit in the Eric Johnson vein:

The circuit is 100% 100b, it's not a modern 101b. The 35 watt is a modern 101b

It needs more volume than the 101b as well, but sounds really great when you open it up a bit.
