Bogner Shiva 20th Factory Tube Options

They will do KT88, EL34 and 6L6 tubes from the factory but not 6550's? I thought the 6550s were just a drop in with no changes at all? Erik Turner over at Wild West Guitars did a check for me and this is what his response was.

Thoughts?

They are probably only comfortable with Winged C and they are hard to get and expensive. Maybe this is the reason. I know the amp is specd with the other tubes but not 6550's.
 
That is weird because new JJs will handle the voltage better than Winged C.
