Bogner Shiva Clean Question

Had a chance to check out a friends head (EL34) over the weekend. I've been looking for a good channel switching head and the cleans on this were pretty damn amazing. The overdrive channel was good too, but just didn't do it for me. Anyone know of any other heads that get similar clean sounds to the Shiva?

For gain sounds the amp I use most is the VHT Deliverance 60. If I could get one of those and a Bogner Shiva (clean) in the same box, I think I'd be set :D

the axe fx has both
Eh.... I hear plenty about the Axe, but definitely not something thats on my radar. I'd have to play one first and last time I checked, they don't have dealers.

Friedman Brown eye / Marsha, has a Fender or Vox clean chanel option. CAE OD100 also has a fantastic clean.

Yeah the Suhr's have amazing cleans. The PT100 clean is crazy good.

The Shiva 20th has a very different overdrive than the regular Shiva. The cleans are excellent as well as the OD. Plenty of gain.

I have had my Shiva 20th for several months now and I am still blown away. Have you played the 20th Anniversary? I haven't played a regular Shiva so I can't compare the two but the 20th has an amazing crunch channel. I plan to try out a pair of 6550's asap but I absolutely love this amp just the way it is. Anything from jazz to metal...even modern scooped doom is possible without help from pedals. Plenty of gain and low end...mildly overdriven smokey blues, AC DC, Satriani, Meshugga, you name it. It does have a very organic nature so even the heaviest settings have a reedy quality...not hi-fi like the one-trick-pony metal based amps but still extremely tight. I could rattle on forever about this thing but it has truly ended my search for a do it all amp. No compromises anywhere.

     Fucking amp is AWESOME. SED 6550's make it even better. Not many seem to comprehend this becuase the regualr Shiva is known as a lower to mid gain amp. They are two very different heads.

I've seen this a few different times about the 6550's changing the Shiva anniversary. Is it a factory option, or is the bias within range stock?

Sucks that a four hour drive is the closest place to find any of this stuff for me...

The bias is within range. You may need a little hotter pair is all. A good dealer can help you. Use SED Winged C only.
