So I picked up a Suhr Badger 1x12 cab with a V30 in it. I gigged my Shiva through it tonight and whilst it didn't sound as big as my OS2x12, I didn't exactly miss the 2x12. I definitely didn't miss the weight and size! The Suhr cab sounds amazing.

However, is this a terrible idea? There seems to be conflicting ideas on this. FWIW, I never really get the Shiva past 2 o'clock on the channel volumes and 9 o'clock on the master.

Speakers can take a lot more than we realize. You are fine. I have never had any problem in that situation. However, even though I like V30s a lot, my favorite speakers for a 112 is the G12K-100. An OS112 with G12K-100 sounds killer.

i have a mesa lonestar 112 cab with the c90 speaker in it, i put a piece of plywood to cover the back so its completely sealed in the back. at low volumes it sounds shrill and harsh but when its cranked that cab completely rapes. you can feel the air moving and it handles the low end really well. takes the mark 5 and uberschall really well

I really liked the shiva with v30s. i think you should be fine

Don't you think a V30 is better mxed with another speaker when using the Shiva? Maybe a G12T-75 and Vintage 30 or maybe even a Greenback and Anniversary G12H30.
