It's quite a bit different from a JJ or other Friedmans. Less smooth and produced. More mid-forward, raw, and grinding. Easier to play than a Friedman, too. (and that's saying something.)

My understanding is that they are a normal production model.

This sounds great! How do you like it for lead playing and how is the loop?? Are you going to use it primarily for that 90s AIC sound or do you think it is diverse enough to cover other territory just as well?

Definitely versatile. I don't know how far into the video you watched but I show it in two modern contexts (Sleep Token, Bring Me The Horizon) and another classic context (Bark at the Moon). It can do a surprising amount of stuff and sounds really cool doing it. Sits in a mix very easily and takes a lot of speakers very well.

Haha I mean that’s the million dollar question. I am not sure why more manufacturers don’t give the people what they want, even if they’re reissues of classic amps. Money to be made!

bingo. Friedman mids sound polished and lack rawness. That's what my experience is as well.
