bogner - twin jet - fisrt channel problem?!

Hi guys,
I would like to get some experience thought about the first channel of the twin jet uberschall.
I was buying it second hand, and its feel that the first channel is a bit "sick"
I know it need to be "high gain" but everything less then FULL gain knob sound a bit sick… the sound is weak – gain wise and other…
Maybe its his preamp tube praying for replacement?
Does anybody know how to get his tube layout for each channel etc?

New preamps, boom.

1st channel on the TJ should be killer enough to melt glass.

Second hand always sucks but usually most of the typical issues people run into can be sorted with new glass. Worst case scenario is new powertubes too.

But try some new preamp tubes.
