Anyone have this mod done to the 1st channel? Just wondering how it compares to the stock TJ.

I had one and thought it sounded like poo poo. Much prefer the stock TJ. Although Ventura has one and loves his.

I preferred stock, better cleans and I wasn't looking for a more marshall sound, something tells me the purple was similar to the high gain head that never released, can't remember the name.

I had the one Ventura has now.
It is a nice punchy distortion on what used to be the clean channel. You can get your modded Marshall out of the Purple Ch. and the normal insane high gain on Ch 2.
That amp sounds great at normal volumes. It is glorious up loud. Always a favorite for people to play at some of our jam sessions when I would bring it.

Thanks for chiming in guys. I've got modded Marshall tones well covered with the Friedman. I do like the stock 1st channel...was just just curious.
