Today, I just realized how awesome this amp is and decided to write a review that sums up my impressions.

I play in a tech metal band, inspired by sikth, textures, Dillinger, slipknot etc and I use my uberschall with a framus panthera 7 string guitar and my ISP decimator only, no pedals.

To me this is the best sound I've ever heard, I've owned a Rivera knucklehead reverb, get to hear my other guitarist Mesa roadster every week, tried orange rockerverb/thunderverb, engl powerball/fireball 2/ invader, framus cobra, Mesa stiletto - nothing compares for Me, this is the only amp that generates the sound in my head, and it amazes me each time I play on it.

The thing that really amazes me about this amp is how the second channel is capable of providing a great rhythm tone that is also a great lead tone, I played some songs by my band yesterday, played acid rain by liquid tension and alwways with me always with you by satch and didn't need to adjust a knob - I was thrilled by how good the amp sounded on satch stuff, where on earth do you find another amp that you can play satch and stone sour on the exact same settings? I ts not that my rhythm tone mushy, it's not ice picky or super tight too, but it definitely sounds heavy and brutal, and than the leads has this awesome liquid quality to them, the petrucci stuff sounds amazing on it too.

I use the first channel mainly for clean sounds, we do have clean parts in my band, I got a very nice clean tone out of it, sounds alot better than the flat boring roadster clean to me, could use more volume though, I like my high gain channel master pretty high and have to compromise for not having a huge volume drop when I switch to clean, but the difference in preamp volume is actually alot less audible in rehearsal volume.

I do like the over drive tones from the first channel, wish it had abit more gain, but it's a very cool sounding channel, I probably wont find alot of use for it in my band but this certainly giving me the impression that on a recording situation this amp is capable of producing any type of overdriven tone I'll ever need, to me the bogner voicing will always be the best out there and it does everything from plexiglas to 800 to full on metal really well to my ear.

To me, the only downfall of this amp is the fx loop.

I didn't try many units with it, bit even without any units in there the loop changes the tone of the amp noticabley, and this is a true disappointment and sets me off from buying pedals or fx units, people are talking about the suhr mini mix to fix the loop issues but if the loop changes the tone with nothing in it than I dont see how a separate device is going to be much of a help here, so for mow I'll play dry, more healthy for your technique at least.

I can't think of any other amp that could replace this one for me, maybe a 3 channel uberschall could, or a brutalized xtc, but this is to me the beauty of the gain channel on this amp, I'm a metal player but I like to play other stuff too, fusion oriented music, some blues sometimes, and I don't feel like I need another amp for that, I can get great lead tones both channels, can get any type of overdriven sound I want and while the clean is easily isnt the best I've heard and doesn't compares to my former Rivera clean, it does the job, and does it alot better from other amps dedicated clean channels.

I'm truely satisfied with this amp and to me the cons are so minor when compared to it's awesome qualities, when I had my Rivera which had great cleans, 3 channels, switchable boosts, midi control, serial/Parallel fx loop , reverb, different modes and probably some other stuff I forget, I always searched the net for new amps and always thought about owning another amp, it had all the bells and whistles, but I never ended up tweaking it, it never did what I wanted through the year and a half I owned it, I own the uber for five months and I found my tone in it along time ago , sometimes less is truly more and the uberschall is a classic example for it.
