Hello Guys.
I have a problem with my Bogner 20th XTC
When I chance channels by hand with the white buttons on the back of the amp, there's no problem.
But when I change channel with the footswitch there is a problem with the red channel.
If I leave it on for a while and push the footswich button to choose another channel, the red leds won't go out imidiatly and the stay on for an second or two, along with the blue or green leds.
Till the red leds go out there's a sort of white noise and it seems there are two channels active for a few seconds at the same time.
If I switch from red to green or blue within a second ( without leaving the red channel on for longer than 5 seconds ) the problem isnot there.
It seems that the red channel sticks to the "on" position and has a problem to go out when changing channels.
Inside the footswich everything seems to be ok.
What could course this please?

Seems like there's something wrong with your footswitch
Try cleaning the switches with contact cleaner, also try this on your XLR plug
If this doesn't work, I'd try to contact Charley at Bogner

It's not the amp, it's the footswitch. It may actually be the LED that's pooping out. I had a similar issue with my FX-Loop switch on my XTC's footswitch. Kept cutting in and out real quick. I talked to Charlie at Bogner and turned out to be the LED. He sent me a new LED, I installed it, and problem was solved.

Thanks for the help guys!
I really appriciate this.
I'll send a email to Bogner and let you now what the problem whas when its solved

Bogner mailed me back
The problem is indeed caused by the led itself.
They told me what type of led I should use, so I order me e few and fix it
Thanks for the help everyone

FYI there's a negative and positive side to the led ( the negative lead will be the shortest) has to go back the right way to work.

would you be OK to post the LED specs that they told you? in case my footswitch ever craps out too. :)

ONE MORE THING!!!

Be VERY careful when soldering! Do not allow the poles on the switch to heat up too much or you may cause damage to the switch itself! Be as quick as possible. Also, be sure to look at the factory LED to note which wire goes where. If you look close on the LED inside you will see a raised portion and lower portion that the lead wires are connected to.

Thanks Guys!

Leds are : standard Through Hole leds 20 mA 1,7 Volts size : T-1

This links to a Dutch site.
I guess that Bogner pointed me to a distributor in my own Country :)

Also :
If you need to use the footswitch before you have the Led you can take the LED out of the circuit or just jump the two leads, amp should work fine but no Led will light up.
