Just added the Boogie Mark V to the arsenal. Tone-o-licious

Still though, the Herbert is best

nice man, Have you mixed the boogie and diezel together? how does the boogie sound for heavy detuned playing? Is it heavy? Or a mush fest? Ive heard lots of different things on that head and havent been able to play one. congrats on your purchase it looks very versiltiti as a bud used to say,

Have yet to fire up the Herbert as I am using the cab for now. But, have been mixing the Herbert and Triaxis rig and achieving some cool tones. The Mark V is more complex to dial in and as of now drop D tuning and C tuning tones have been great. Getting some nice Petrucci tones with the JP6 and the PRS Eagle sounds awesome. Channel two MK 1 can get a little flubby on the bottom end so the bass is set to 0 and EQ off. Still a lot to explore with this amp.

HerbiBoogie. Thanks for the compliment. Tone is and addiction and effects tend to be subtle.

Wonderful, my friend! That really looks awesome and you have a lot of gear that i only can dream of! what kinda music do you make with all that stuff?

Hey BigDog,

I had to send Herbert to get a little love, however, as soon as it's back, I am in the same boat. Have had he Mark V for almost 2 months and have had Herbert for only a week. I am soooo very impressed with the tones that Herbert lays out!! So sweet! I am feeling the Boogie/Diezel combo and just can't believe what may be possible. Please keep update coming on any and all experiences.

Herbert with Mark V, all I can say is WOW :D

Me too. Got a Mark V ordered from Mesa Hollywood. Looking forward to seeing what Randall put under the hood there. Also have a 91 Mark IV (a) head coming that I picked up on the cheap on ebay. Not many A versions floating around. Still on the lookout for a IIC+ w/ EQ. Picked up another 4x12 Recto cab as I sold my other one with the Dual Recto head.

I am looking forward to mixing the Herbie with some Mark IV grunge. I think it will sound more than awesome.

Steve

Yeah Steve, I have a Mark IV as well, haven't tried either Mark amp in the mix. Let me know your experience...
