Does anyone know of a way to use the Parallel loop in the VH4 for a second volume (lead boost) AND somehow use another system loop (not channel specific) to switch in and out a rack mounted effect unit without the effect sucking the tone out of my dry sound by being ever present in the signal path?
I have a GCX and an Intellifex and previously had it running just fine with my Bogner XTC. Because the XTC has built in boosting ability I didn't have this issue. If I turned off the loop, the effect was totally out of the path. Now with the VH4 as there is no boost I can't use it in the same way. I prefer the tone of the VH4 but have this new problem of effects OR boost. I'd like to do both if at all possible.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks,
