Dear all,

I would like your advise. I have found a good compromise for the different modes of
channel 1 of my Einstein. This is a good compromise for mode 1 and 3, and in many situation
also for mode 2, but for all of them. Sometimes I need more overdrive, and I would like to have
this without changing the gain of channel 1. So an option is maybe a boost pedal ... or something
else. I would appreciate your comments/feedback/knowledge/experience on this.

Thanks

Jan

I like the Suhr Koko Boost, or you might try higher output pickups if you want more gain out of channel 2 boosted. Dont get active pups cause they dont clean well...

Channel 1 mode 3 is not replicated no matter what you do. It will never sound the same no matter how many overdrives you use. I have tried almoast all of them...

I spent my time mainly in mode 2 and use the volume to clean up and the Koko Boost for extra Oomph

I recently bought a Fulltone OCD (the newest version; I think it's 4 or 5) for this exact reason. The older OCD pedals did not work well with Einstein (IMO). The new versions do just what I was looking for: same tone and feel, but more drive. Not very cheap, but worth the money!

I've tried a lot of other pedals as well (cannot comment on the one the previous poster mentioned), but was never satisfied. This one works for me.

+1. I love the OCD to boost einey mode 2. It does sound a little different to me though. It's got more high-mid cut. I prefer einey naked, but like you I need all 3 modes of channel 1 live.
