Boost pedals

For you guys that use a boost pedal into an already distorted amp for solos, which pedal would you choose and why ?

I choose the Plank Cranker because all the rest of the boost pedals I like were stolen about a year ago. I have not plugged it in yet, but I am driving north tomorrow to pick it and a bed up tomorrow.

BB Preamp Plus,

More open and less compressed than the BB which had been my main pedal since they first came out.

I think right now it may come down to either a BB or the Maxon OD808

Out of what you have there I like the OCD and Hot Cake. I just like the tone of them. I had a prescription Rx overdrive that I liked better than either of them. But I used that more for a texture thing than a overdrive. Almost like a fuzz. It had a cool envelope. I am interested in what other say about all the pedals. As we all know it's a matter of taste.

Maxon OD-808

Love that pedal so much. It's really transparent, but tightens up the sound so well.

I use the MXR GT-OD, simply because I love the sound of it...and as well as it boosts my distorted sound very well, it gives me a GREAT, slightly overdriven sound on the clean channel too!

My favorites are my Klon, MJM Blues Devil and Maxon OD820. I also like the older DOD 250s.

BB Preamp/MXR GT-OD are my 2 main ones.
Modded Rat/Maxon OD808 in second place
Modded SD-1 in third.

I'm going to pick up a Hotcake soon.

MXR Wylde OD suits me just fine. Level - maxed, Tone - 11:00, Gain 8:00.
