Boosting channel 3 using channel insert??

Hi guys,

I'm a new Diezel user (VH4). Maybe a stupid question, but like i said i'm a new user:
If I want to boost channel 3 with for example a boosta grande, can i do this using the channel inserts?

Yes, but a little boost will make it a much louder channel. The channel inserts are a good bit louder with effects or boosters than through
the loop or out in front. Used with effects units, they are fine at a level of -6dB to a boost of +6dB. The Boosta Grande has a 20dB boost,
so I would not use it to push the channel, but at low settings (1-6dB Boost) it may work as a solo boost in Channel insert 3.
I feel any more than 8dB and it's like waking a grumpy dragon up from a nap.

I tried this before but I got a "pop" when switching between the boosted channel and the other channels... Can anyone explain this?

If you're boosting fora change in volume or EQ, then yes.
If you're boosting for an increase in gain or a change in feel, then no.
