I just got a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster. I heard a lot of guys prefer these to the SD-1. Well the SDPB is pretty cool but the Keeley modded SD-1 is slightly meaner and a little more quiet. I wish I could make clips of the two but I don't have recording stuff. Sorry guys. Then again with my playing it's probably for the best. I swear the Keeley SD-1 is my favorite boost pedal for Marshalls.

If anyone wants the SDPB let me know. I'm interested in an MXR EVH Phaser pedal.

Have you tried a BB Preamp with the VM yet? I hear a lot of guys swear by that pedal. Thinking about getting one soon myself.

Ratter had that pedal. I tried it infront of the Mk IV and thought it was pretty cool. I think I'm just going to stick with the Keeley.

Wow, you got it already? 2 days from Ca to Pa by USPS and 5 days by UPS?

I like my Keeley SD-1, but I think I like my stock, vintage SD-1's (Made In Japan) even better than the Keeley.

stick with the SD-1

i personally don't like plain db boosters.

Modded Sd-1s FTW

Get the MXR Custom Shop Script Phase 90 instead. Sounds the same as the EVH in Script mode but does not suck tone compared to the EVH. I owned two EVH's and I couldn't have either one in my signal chain.

Damn!!!! Thanks for the info.

Is the custom shop version True bypass? What about the bypass is different? Do you mean the one with the LED or without?

I have an EVH Phase 90 and a modified Dunlop MXR phase 90. The bypass on the EVH phase 90 is better, neither bypass's are great though. To modify them to true bypass is very hard with the switch mounted to the PCB....
