I can't make up my mind between both of these multi effects pedals. Would like some feedback from those of you that are using them or have used them. I plan on using the 4 cable method.
I have a Fender Supersonic 100 head with matching 4X12 cab. I like the sounds I can get out of this amp but would like to add some effects after the preamp. I would also like to be able to change the amp sound completely for other songs I'm not able to achieve without using one of these effects pedals. I also want to be able to integrate the pedals I already have along with the multi effects pedal.
I play everything from Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Robin Trower, Pantera, Metallica and even love playing some surf tunes. Which 1 of these multi effects pedals will get me what I want?

I cant comment on the RP1000, but Ive used a GT10 and 4 cable method for years with many different amps and it has never let me down. I can place effects anywhere in the chain, or even patch in external effects in the GT's loop. And Im guessing the newer GT100 is even better.

Not that this will help shape a decision but, repeat this exact statement but switch the units for me.

I liked the RP1000 better for the most part. The Boss had some modulation effects I liked ,but the RP was much more usable for me. The RP is also allot easier to navigate. The amp modeling on the RP is really good as well.
